Mushroom metabolomics: find the bioactives your marker assay misses
Your mushroom is described by one or two marker compounds. Its chemistry is far broader. It differs from species to species, and most of it is still uncharacterized in public databases.
With M2 Ingredients, we detected 4,000–7,000 metabolites per species. Three complementary workflows capture the depth and breadth. These are detection-level findings, not claims about how a compound acts.
Each bioactive is annotated to the health areas it is associated with in published research, with the evidence level shown. Results arrive in an interactive dashboard, 4–6 weeks from project start. Quantification is optional. We start from your material, not a template.
What we find:
- Many times more bioactives than the literature reports for the species
- Health-area annotation, such as cognition and brain health, cardiometabolic health and immune modulation, with evidence levels
- Species and lot differences that a marker assay would miss
