Metabolomic signatures of ready-to-drink beverages
Peer-reviewed in Metabolites, 2026. Dual-mode untargeted LC–MS/MS across five commercial RTD beverages, including BeePop.
Read the paperWe mapped M2 Ingredients' whole-mushroom ingredients three ways. Every species held thousands of molecules and its own chemical fingerprint. Most of that chemistry is uncharacterized in public databases. M2 now uses the data in its positioning, trade media and a new quality marker.

530 phytochemicals. 17 bioactives. Six never reported in almonds. Our founder, Ivana Blaženović, was a principal investigator and the corresponding author of this Food Chemistry study, funded by the Almond Board of California.
The paper reports about four times more than previously documented. The Almond Board has since funded further work with Adikai Insights.
A sparkling fermented green-tea drink sweetened with real honey and fruit juice. Adikai mapped its molecular signature alongside four other ready-to-drink beverages in a peer-reviewed Metabolites paper.
478 compounds across five beverages. 42 with reported bioactivity. BeePop and Pure Leaf tea each carried 39 of those, the richest profiles in the set. BeePop’s signature came from botanical and honey-derived chemistry: chlorogenic-acid derivatives, luteolin glycosides, organic acids, alkaloids and plant phenolics.
The study is qualitative. Detecting a compound does not mean it is present at a bioactive dose. What it does give Hive is a molecular story for BeePop that a label cannot tell.
